Floating Triangles

Aluminum triangles, dyed in red, float in the air of the Issey Miyake’s new flagship store in Tokyo, designed by Tokujin and launched on the 4th April, 2015

Issey Miyake Marunouchi, designed by Tokujin, is now open in Marunochi, a gateway to Tokyo.

Aluminum triangles, dyed in red, are displayed as if they float in the air. The design expresses two contrary times which are history and future by contrasting between a texture that has been created over a long period of time and the futuristic triangles.

The design reflects the creation by Issey Miyake and it is intended to transmit his theory from the new location of Marunouchi.
