Thukral&Tagra: Animus / 5

Ceramica Globo presents at Milan Design Week the collaboration with Indian artists Thukral & Tagra who have restyled four sinks from the catalogue, turning them into radios with a retro feel.

Thukral & Tagra, a duo of Indian artists whose work ranges from art to design and graphics, have chosen four products from the Globo range and applied decorations to them to transform them into radios with a retro feel complete with speakers, buttons and frequency indicators.

"Animus is the title of a work that we conceived while travelling between Milan and Delhi in 2006. It was our first journey to Italy, actually for the Furniture Fair to take part in an exhibition" they explain.

Soft pastel colours define the contours of the "devices" where in places plant-forms and fragments of wood can be glimpsed, expressions of a visual vocabulary that refers to continuous interconnections between nature and technology.

Among them, brass "jets" splash onto the table, placed at the centre of the room, while the display cases at the sides form golden arches.
