The building ensemble is located in a hamlet of Enneberg at a height of 1,200 meters and it refers to the building tradition of the “viles”.
Alpine house
Armin Pedevilla and Caroline Willeit chose as their residence an ancient "viles" in the Dolomites, restored preserving the intrinsic character of the house.

The two staggered buildings with their cautious insertion into the hillside correspond to the local couple court type. Regional ornaments and characteristic features like saddle roof, loggia and wood façade are taken up and realized in a new, pure and independent way.
Reducing the materials to some special from the surroundings (dolomite rock for the exposed concrete, solid swiss stone pine and larch) corresponds as well to the earlier style and the thought of sustainability.
The own water source, the geothermal energy, the passive application of solar energy and a PV plant provide the house with the necessary energy sources and make the building energetically self-sufficient.
