During the 2013 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), which recently took place in New York, young design collective Cooperativa Panorámica — formed by seven young Mexican designers exploring new creative territories — presented Materiality, a new collection of objects that exalt the unique qualities of everyday materials such as basalt stone, terrazzo, copper and glass.
Cooperativa Panorámica is formed by Victor Aleman, José de la O, Joel Escalona, Jorge Diego Etienne, Moises Hernandez, Ian Ortega and Christian Vivanco. The collective follows a cooperative business model, using design as a means of expression on a critical, inclusive and diverse way. Cooperativa Panorámica's products are manufactured in México by a network of independent craftsmen and workshops.
