Constance Guisset: Eclaté

At the Salone del Mobile, Molteni&C and Salvatore Ferragamo present an installation by the young Parisian designer, featuring the MO lamp and the SOL rocking chair.

At the Salone del Mobile 2012, Molteni &C and Salvatore Ferragamo will renew their partnership by presenting Eclaté (Exploded), an installation by designer Constance Guisset featuring a lamp and chair, entitled MO and SOL accordingly.

The installation by the young Parisian designer — who recently won the Grand Prix du Design in the city of Paris, the Prix du Public at the Design Parade of Noailles and the premium Audi Talents awards — will be the main attraction at the Salvatore Ferragamo boutique on Via Montenapoleone during the Salone.

The MO lamp is a wooden structure consisting of several modules, lit by neon. This aerial sculpture with diverse volumes was designed for the Molteni &C Dada Flagship Store in Paris, and was awarded for best set design during Paris' Designer's Days 2011. MO is also a flexible and dynamic object-lamp, its modules drawing weight structures, animated by the play of natural wood lines, which are flanked with grace and discretion by the new SOL rocking chair. SOL is distinctive due to its soft and delicate contours and was designed for Molteni &C as "a dance of objects that meets the elegant creations of Salvatore Ferragamo".

Eclaté (Exploded) creates ephemeral architecture in the showroom, with a strong visual motif. In her productions Constance Guisset reveals a passion for scenography, always searching for hidden harmony between architecture and the objects that inhabit it.
