Led by British designers Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, the students of the Ecal Master in Design and the Luxury Industry, directed by Augustin Scott de Martinville, have revolutionised and sought new functions for the Harcourt glass, a Baccarat icon.

The designers took their cue from a sculpted form that has remained unchanged for 170 years, basically since it was created, and came up with fifteen variations. Working by addition and subtraction, they turned Harcourt into chess pieces, a flower vase, a tray, an hourglass, a bracelet, a trinket holder, a children's game and even a lollipop… bringing new potential to a crystal glass that graced the tables of both Napoleon and John Paul II.
