Fuorisalone 2019: La Repubblica del design in Bovisa

The objective of La Repubblica del Design is to create an urban regeneration project from a design point of view. A project which is not confined to the week of Fuorisalone, but which manages to carry its aims forward throughout the year.
The project, which is located in the context of the Bovisa/Dergano districts, has been created and coordinated by Davide Crippa and ADA (the Association of Anonymous Designers), and organised by Ghigos, IDEAS Bit Factory and the Repubblica del Design association with the patronage of Sistema Design from the Politecnico di Milano and the Municipality of Milan, with the participation of Enea and GSE.

There are nine themes sections: #Social, #Regeneration, #Energy, #Independent, #Interaction, #Multicultural, #Narrative, #Open, #Play. #Social: presenting projects which concern the various types of disability, with the theme of integration as the foundation. #Regeneration: proposing interventions by ADA, the Association of Anonymous Designers, which has created solutions of varying levels of invasiveness for the entire area creating, through painting, the “never-ending district” and placing focus on the needs and the beauty of the area. #Energy: presenting projects created in collaboration with Enea, one of the main partners, in a section dedicated to energy and the future. The idea also uses the format KIDZDREAM, an online multimedia magazine created with children from all over the world who were asked to talk about and draw the dreams they have at night. #Independent: a presentation of independent brands and self-production in industry 4.0. #Interaction: which is developed along two lines, technological and human interaction. #Multicultural: focusing on projects which develop the concepts of community and diversity. #Narrative: exhibitions of ideas more than of products. #Open: a space for meeting the Bovisa designers. #Play: examinations of the theme of play with workshops dedicated to children.
