Giovanni Brianza is CEO of Edison Next. He began his career in Pirelli Pneumatici and in 1999 joined Edison to deal with Business Development.  In 2004 he moved to Paris in Électricité de France (EDF) as head of strategy of the Italian market. In 2006 he was back to Edison as Office Director CEO. In 2009 he was appointed head of M&A and subsequently Director of Strategic Planning and M&A at Edison.

In 2018 he joined the Executive Committee of Edison as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Corporate Development & Innovation. In mid 2021 he was appointed Executive Vice President of the Energy and Environmental Services Division. He is a member of the Industrial Union of Turin, Vice President of the Hydrogen Joint Research Platform of the Politecnico di Milano and is a member of the Advisory Committee of Idinvest Smart City Venture Fund. Born in Milan in 1973, he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and holds an MBA from the Bocconi University School of Business Management.
