United Fraction, un tributo ai confini immaginari dell’uomo

United Fraction, is a work created by the Swedish multidisciplinary designer Daniel Nystrom and exhibited for the first time during the Borderline exhibition at Galeria La Cometa in Bogotà. The title of the project is a tribute to the idea of the man’s imaginary boundaries and his continuous research for the unknown, reasons for which the designer recently decided to place the work in the desert of Villa Del Levya, a place that in Colombia it has a long tradition of pre-colonial ceremonies that have recently led several people to visit this area known for UFO sightings.

The sculpture can contain fifteen people simultaneously and is the result of a creative process started fifteen years ago with Erik Banehag and Christian Persia; the work is made by wood with the Japanese technique of shou sugi ban which preserves the wood from atmospheric agents and was subsequently assembled with brass and copper rods giving life to an object that is characterized by an avant-garde formal garde and is the result of artisan design.
