Hence the initiative “Eat Drink Design” has shown the Dutch city in a new light, combining food and creative design. Organised for the third consecutive year during Dutch Design Week by studio Moon/en/co (Annemoon Geurts and Koen Rijnbeek) and Sot-l’y-laisse (Edwin Severijn), this year seven designers and seven chefs combined passion and imagination to create seven designer snacks. Such as stuffed quail by Johan van Groeninge, chef of Avant Garde, hidden in a small ceramic pouch designed by Kiki van Eijk. Or a number of classic French and Dutch snacks from the restaurant De Karpendonkse Hoeve, placed on a special edible tray invented by Mara Skujeniece. E. S.
