The exhibition is therefore also something of an indirect way to talk about the exploration of new visual languages carries out at Fabrica, the centre of research in communication of the Benetton group. As well as recounting the personal vision that Margot Quan Knight has of the world, of which she says “the world is a fabulous place filled with things that are both wonderful and horrible. Almost everything can be explained and if, in some cases, an explanation has not yet been found, then it becomes acceptable to invent one. I fit pieces one in the other to help find meaning”.
