From Japan comes a solution for attending theatre while respecting social distancing

It is called “Peeping Garden” and is a structure that allows you to watch dance performances while maintaining social distancing. Shows are selling out.

Japanese dance company Moonlight Mobile Theater (tsukiakari-theater.jp) renown for their avant-garde performances, has come up with a crafty way of returning to the scene while respecting social distancing.

Thanks to the "Peeping Garden", a circular wooden scenographic structure, audience members (up to 30 people) can sit on stools in separated cubicles surrounding the stage, while the dancers perform in the centre of it.

Extra-bonus to the unique experience? Each cubicle has its own door and letter-drop slot through which the public intimately watches the performance. Since December, all 12 of the peephole performances have sold out.
