From urban design to product design, from editorial design to social and cultural initiatives: Alfonso Femia is among the designers in Italy who best expresses an eclectic and multidisciplinary attitude, an approach capable of ranging "from the spoon to the city." The Italian architect has tackled a classic product with his usual design intelligence: the minimalist suspension lamp. For iGuzzini he has designed BeTwo, a lamp of reduced dimensions to be conceived in multiple and imaginative compositions.

The visual concept of the product is inspired by Newton's Pendulum, a thought-provoking game that exploits a physical law to create a rhythmic movement composed of a set of metal balls hanging from a small structure. Femia imagines BeTwo from this sophisticated and relaxing composition.

Available in three different sizes, the pendant lamp is characterised by the joining of two cylindrical elements that are identical but available in different colours: white, black and gold.

iGuzzini's optics make this object different from its typological counterparts. The light emission, also up/down, which restores a three-dimensionality to the space by dosing the luminance levels on the different floors, is borrowed from the technical and professional design of the Opti Diamond technology, which offers a perfect light emission for visual well-being, not dazzling and soft.
With the BLE-DALI interface, BeTwo can easily offer dynamic and connected light, which can also be managed with a voice command or smartphone

iGuzzini's Opti Diamond optic was developed entirely in-house. Its efficiency is due to prismatic lenses positioned on the curved surface of the thermoplastic reflector. This technology, called catadioptric, is normally used in telescopes and navigation lights. Opti Diamond is therefore the result of intelligent and complex miniaturisation work, bringing the best and most advanced light performance to everyday use.
