Inside the Surface: FMG’s Vision of Porcelain Stoneware

Innovating with materials for interiors and architecture is still possible: Full Body³ is FMG’s latest creation, reimagining full-body porcelain stoneware.

Intensive research on materials and in-depth experimentation with color and form have led to the creation of Full Body³: a full-body porcelain stoneware that is solid, homogeneous, non-absorbent, and highly resistant. Its unique composition—born from the deliberately random blending of flakes and microspheres in various shades—gives each slab an unrepeatable appearance, evoking the care and authenticity of handcrafted work.

Full Body³ represents the most advanced evolution of a material with outstanding technical and aesthetic performance, developed in the laboratories of FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti. Cutting-edge technologies, artisanal know-how, and patented production processes come together to create a surface that expands the expressive and functional possibilities for architects and designers. Engineered to stand the test of time, Full Body³ offers high-level performance: it is frost- and weather-resistant, maintains color stability over time, is fireproof, and easy to sanitize. These qualities are complemented by a strong environmental commitment—Full Body³ is a sustainable material, produced according to rigorous ecological standards and fully recyclable. Its versatility allows for a wide range of applications, delivering outstanding performance not only in residential settings, but also in commercial spaces and hospitality environments.
Recent projects such as the Kringlan Shopping Center and the Iceland Parliament Hotel are a testament to its effectiveness and aesthetic value, even in the most ambitious architectural contexts.

FMG offers five projects Full Body³ inspired by iconic materials reinterpreted in a contemporary key. Venice Villa and Venice Villa Rialto renew Venetian terrazzo with vibrant aggregates and refined textures; Palladio enhances the compactness of Venetian terrazzo with a dense mélange of colorful fragments. Neo Granito pays tribute to volcanic rock with a dense and decorative texture, while Quarzite reimagines metamorphic rock with a tactile surface and brilliant hues. All proposals are available in a wide range of sizes, finishes, and colors, offering maximum creative freedom for design projects.
