Bottega Ghianda is among the few craft workshops that can claim to be at the top of the cabinet-making art in the world. Founded more than two centuries ago, it has established itself over time as the excellence of Made in Italy, cultivating a precise vocation: to give body and form to the creative vision thanks to the wisdom of its master craftsmen, keepers of an activity that combines manual skill and design in a creative synthesis of excellence. Bottega Ghianda combines art and craftsmanship thanks to the quality, uniqueness and preciousness of its creations. The result is works exhibited in the world's most important museums and galleries. Objects that enclose a creative universe as unique as the hands of the master cabinet-makers who created them using their tactile, olfactory and visual skills in recognising the most precious woods.
Celebrating ancient cabinet making traditions
Meticulous attention to detail and the desire to preserve the talent of craftsmanship: Bottega Ghianda is a symbol of Italian expertise.
Here, leading architects and designers such as Philippe Starck, Gae Aulenti, Gaetano Pesce, Cini Boeri, Livio and Piero Castiglioni, encountered the right skills to give substance to their ideas and visions. In the shop, projects with the most diverse personalities were born: elegant and essential, like the Pieces of Styles boiserie by Philippe Starck or the Farfallna chair designed by Alvaro Siza; innovative, like the new bookcase born from the collaboration with Gaetano Pesce, presented on the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2023, which combines a beech wood structure with illuminated shelves in coloured resin. The Ghianda boutique in Via Pisoni 2, in the heart of Milan, is a magical place, suspended in time, where you can breathe the scent of living materials in every elegantly furnished space.
