A more and more revolutionary, transformative and adaptive surface covering, porcelain stoneware has been undergoing a rapid evolution in recent years, reinterpreting the effects of natural materials and industrial products with the added bonus of excellent performance and environmentally friendly processes. The protagonist of this evolution, thanks to all-Italian know-how, is the FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti brand, part of the Iris Ceramica Group, which recently presented three new collections inspired by granite, marble and stone respectively: Alaska White MaxFine, Patagonia MaxFine and Jatoba Brown MaxFine. The products were presented at Cersaie, the world's most important ceramic and bathroom furnishings trade fair, held at Fiera di Bologna from 25 to 29 September 2022.
FMG surfaces’ new material sensations
FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti presented three new collections of porcelain stoneware surfaces at Cersaie 2022 that reinterpret three “classic” materials such as granite, marble and stone.
Celeste Aran White MaxFine
For the first time ever, granite, a natural stone of volcanic origin consisting of quartz, feldspar and mica, meets MaxFine technology by FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti to create a new porcelain stoneware surface with a primordial appeal: Celeste Aran MaxFine. Inspired by granite quarried in the Pyrenees, in the Val d’Aran after which it is named, it has a grey-blue granular texture with white shading, which gives it a distinctive look that complements both classic and modern styles. For visual continuity and cleanliness, Granito Celeste Aran MaxFine (as well as the Marmo Patagonia MaxFine and Pietra Jatoba Brown MaxFine collections) can also become a smart surface thanks to Hypertouch, which, through an integrated system of domotic sensors, allows the simple touch or light pressure of the slab to turn on and off lighting, temperature control, audio-video and window and door systems. Upon request, all collections are available in the Active Surfaces® version, the innovative eco-active surface that improves the hygiene and safety of environments.

Marble Patagonia MaxFine
FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti celebrates marble on technical ceramics with a contemporary sensibility, highlighting its multifaceted and innovative character. Patagonia MaxFine offers an eye-pleasing, extraordinary interplay of bold shapes and neutral colors: white, sand and brown streaks are combined with gold, copper and bronze speckles. This marble has a warm feel and a chaotic and imperfect nature, which is also its distinguishing feature, making it an example of natural sophistication. Seductive and with a primordial appeal, it becomes a decorative element in its own right wherever it is placed.

Stone Jatoba Brown MaxFine
A porcelain stoneware surface that speaks the primordial language of nature, a tribute to its incredible creations. These large format panels are an experimental take on a stone that is quarried in Brazil, and reproduce its slow rhythm of reddish-brown streaks of color with darker nuances. The Lapped finish brings out exotic-looking sinuous patterns, making the texture seem three-dimensional due to its polished/matt look. A material of choice for tiling floors and walls, the Jatoba MaxFine technical ceramic panels take center stage in all kinds of applications, opening up new and unlimited design possibilities for architects and designers. Inert, flame-retardant, resistant to thermal shock, they have high mechanical and abrasion resistance, and are easily sanitised.
