Sara Ricciardi for glo at Fuorisalone with an ode to uniqueness

Hypernova is a colourful and interactive installation that the designer conceived for gloTM: an invitation to lead a life “without compromise”. At Superstudio gloTM will also present a display in collaboration with TOILETPAPER.

Botanical elements, animals, machinery and electronic components: a creative chaos that only a few authors would know how to combine in an accomplished manner. However, when Sara Ricciardi wields the pencil (or its digital equivalent), then we know that the spectacular result is guaranteed. These are the components of Hypernova, an installation created by the designer for gloTM, which during the days of Milan Design Week 2022 will become the protagonist of the Lounge area of Superstudio Più, in Zona Tortona. Ricciardi invite the public to interact with her work, creating an experience in which nature and technology, uniqueness and multiplicity will coexist. The shapes and colours of the installation are accompanied and enveloped by music that recalls sounds of the universe, botanical, electronic, in a totally happy, dynamic and relaxed blend. Hypernova interpret the brand's philosophy, whereby we do not necessarily have to choose between two apparently opposing options, but we can make them coexist "without compromise".

The name of the work is a clear reference to gloTM hyper+ UNIQ, the new gloTM device that makes customisation its real strength. Ricciardi has reinterpreted the colours of the products, characterised by different interchangeable side panels, creating a connection between the spatial experience of the installation and the daily life. gloTM also present the Radical Pop Terrace display in the Roof space of Superstudio Più. This project was developed together with TOILETPAPER, a creative collective founded by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, with whom the brand launched the Radical Pop Collection last February. The urban garden, characterised by its strong visual impact, is once again inspired by gloTM's philosophy, which invites the public to go beyond the limits of binary choices and open up to different possibilities, "without compromise". The gloTM hyper+ UNIQ panels customised with the four TOILETPAPER artworks are exhibited for the first time on the Superstudio terrace. The space, open to the public every day (from 6 to 12 June) until 9pm, is a place to relax after a day of design appointments.
