Human-size metal solutions

Gonzato Group's work is characterised by a custom-made approach at all stages of the project, from conception to installation.

When we talk about bespoke design we don't simply mean products made to measure, but concepts capable of transforming the customer's submerged desires into unique products; we talk about craftsmanship and its innovation through contemporary production tools; we talk about paths of transformation of the material, which from its raw state becomes a singular architectural element. With its two brands with a distinct character – Arteferro and IAM Design – Gonzato Group offers a range of services and customised products that covers all scales of the project, always guaranteeing an excellent level of quality and expertise: stairs and other structural or furnishing elements, for both interiors and exteriors. Gonzato Group is a world leader in the production of metal systems for prestigious private properties, public buildings, hotels, community spaces and for any kind of commission that requires a custom made approach, from design to installation.

The elliptical staircase built by Gonzato for Podere Cerreto in Siena is not just a simple one, but a true architectural component of value and quality, designed to unite spaces, allow people to pass through safely and fit into an existing context, adding significant aesthetic value.

For the Conte Vistarino wine estate, Gonzato created a custom-made staircase covering three floors. The entire structure of the staircase, made entirely of iron, was created in the company's workshops and then welded on site.

The Four Seasons Hotel George V is a historic Art Deco building, built in 1928 in the heart of Paris. The art deco and art-nouveau ambience blends with elements of contemporary taste. This has led to the creation of different spaces well divided by the doors and handrails designed and installed by Gonzato, and a spa area which benefits from natural light, further emphasising the contrasting colours and materials of the architecture.

“We have never forgotten the love for tradition that characterises this art which dates back to ancient times, so much so that Architect Gonzato considered himself more of a great craftsman than an industrialist,” used to say Bruno Gonzato (1944-2020), founder of the company. Arteferro interprets the ancient art of wrought iron work in a contemporary key. The Gonzato Group brand wants to recover historical ways of doing things, rediscovering and reinterpreting them so that they can be inserted into modern contexts without losing their original character. IAM Design puts stainless steel at the service of architects and designers, proposing functionally innovative solutions, aesthetically exclusive and able to ensure maximum reliability and safety over time. The products of Gonzato Group and its brands are distributed in 136 countries and have been chosen to complete various prestigious buildings, designed by leading figures in international architecture: Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice, Hotel George V in Paris, the Colosseum, Milan Central Station, Disneyland in Paris, as well as luxurious villas and residences from Hollywood to St. Petersburg, passing through London, Beijing and Saint Tropez.
