Vimar’s new smart platform and home automation integrated design

Alongside the special effects, the brutal ways of the protagonist Sylvester Stallone and the daring Hollywood-style jokes, the sci-fi movie Demolition Man (1993) will be remembered for having anticipated the introduction of smart devices in our homes. Set in a now quite near future (in 2032), the film – inspired by the dystopian novel Brave New World (1932) by Aldous Huxley – presents a famous scene in which a naughty Wesley Snipes regulates the lighting of his home as we can do today with Alexa.

In half the time foreseen by Demolition Man, we have reached a step in which innovative technologies manage any system of the building in an intuitive, customisable and aesthetically evolved way.
