Sega will join the rank of competing console manufacturers in leveraging nostalgia to tackle the growing market of retrogaming enthusiasts. Albeit having departed from hardware production for many years now, the Japanese company has announced the release of its new Genesis Mini (or Mega Drive Mini, in Europe). The diminutive console will look just like a miniaturized version of the first Genesis, and it will come preloaded with 40 titles. Among the titles announced so far by SEGA are Sonic the Hedgehog, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Altered Beast, Comix Zone and Gangster Heroes. Two-players mode will be enabled out of the box, thanks to the inclusion of two three-button controllers. Sega Genesis Mini will be available in stores and online in September 2019 with price tag of £70.
