General Motor’s e-bike initiative finally has a name. The company has announced last week that its electric bycicles will carry the brand name “Ariv” and they will start to ship in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium in the second quarter of 2019. The decision to prioritize this markets is due to the popularity of e-bikes in the three Northern European markets. Despite their diminutive size, the Ariv bikes can be charged in about three and a half hours and last for 64km on average. They will come in two models: a compact version that will be sold for 2800€ (2750€ in Germany) and a Brompton-style foldable one, that will set you back 3400€ (3350€ in Germany).
