During the 2013 Salone del Mobile, Milan-based collective Esterni has presented Tavoli da Gioco — Les Jeux ne sont pas faits, a collection of game tables developed in collaboration with Zetalab, a visual communications company who designed the graphics silkscreened in each of the tables.

Tavoli da Gioco is a series of modular and reversible tables, screen-printed on both sides, designed for homes, restaurants, cafés and nursing homes, kindergartends and offices, gardens, verandas, beaches and parks. The first series includes traditional games (chess, draughts, snakes and ladders, backgammon, bottle caps) and games of the imagination (houses, trains and worlds).

The series is part of a growing collection of objects that experiment with public space, seeking to stimulate new behaviour and furnish meeting places in the city. Esterni's complete collection includes swinging benches, trolley benches, circular benches, hammock parks, mobile vegetable gardens and street carts.
