Further expanding on his use of the “light source” as a material to express form and shape, while utilising new techniques and manufacturing processes, Marcus Tremonto has presented at Object Rotterdam a body of new work (designed for the Patrick Brillet's gallery in London) which continues to envelope both the architectural and modern thread seen in his previous designs.

While always maintaining a sense of mystery and illusion, the imagery of the work explores pop themes and minimalist shapes such as the works titled Pixel Bulb, Shadow Bulb and Whole Light.

Vakpak, which was inspired by vacuum packed product, allows the servient material of the packing to be integral in the form and design. Each in the series is a double sided light image nearly 2 to 3mm thick.
