In the tradition of domusforum, the round table is of particular importance because it is the moment in which the multidisciplinary nature of the event emerges most strongly.
This year the debate moderated by the editorial director of Domus Walter Mariotti was attended by Paola Brambilla, member of the Charity Commission of the Cariplo Commission and coordinator of the Commission for environmental impact assessment at Italy's Ministry of Ecological Transition; Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs at Bocconi University; Paolo Quaini, leader of Edison's Urban Regeneration Projects; Martina Starke director of the Munich office of Designworks, the BMW Group design laboratory.
Exponents of different sectors and bearers of diverse perspectives and sensitivities, the speakers addressed delicate and decisive issues such as planetary awareness, energy sustainability, the inclusion of urban frailties, educational and industrial challenges, the role of design-thinking in the reshaping of not only the objects of tomorrow but also the society that will use them.
It is impossible to summarize in a few lines an hour of dense dialogue rich in content but, having to condense the spirit that emerged from the meeting into two words, these would be 'responsibility' and 'sharing': if the future must belong to everyone, so must the effort to conceive and create it.
