An act of involvement, a gift to the city or perhaps a sort of "back home" for Marcello Maloberti (Codogno, 1966), which becomes the guardian deity of the new association Platea | Palazzo Galeano, dedicated to young art and architecture in the historic center of Lodi. The association was founded by Claudia Ferrari, Laura Ferrari, Carlo Orsini, Luca Bucci, Lorenzo Bucci and Gianluigi Corsi, who restored the rooms of the concierge of the seventeenth-century Palazzo Galeano to obtain an essential space, overlooking the road, a showcase of the emerging art for the public of Lodi and beyond.
Marcello Maloberti: Il nome dello spazio sottolinea l’importanza del pubblico, disposto in una grande ‘platea’, che poi è la città di Lodi, ma anche, citando Harald Szeemann, la ‘platea’ dell’umanità.
The first work presented is Trionfo dell’Aurora by Maloberti, made in collaboration with Galleria Raffaella Cortese and accompanied by a relational happening, in which young performers distributed to passers-by the Manifesto of the association and introducing them to the new reality.

Maloberti - curator of the first exhibition schedule, coordinated by Francesca Grossi - is also the author of the name of the space, as he explained: "Platea is the tribute to the city. The name of the space emphasizes the importance of the public, placed in a great 'audience', which is then the city of Lodi, but also, quoting Harald Szeemann, the 'audience' of humanity. And for me, the audience is my body". To present their original works, in the four different events scheduled for the coming months, will be the emerging artists Vittoria Viale, Giulio Locatelli, Silvia Berry, Vittoria Mazzonis.
