Diane Arbus: Revelations
After its success in San Francisco, the gigantic retrospective dedicated to Diane Arbus will land in London. The American artist was one of the most important photographers of the 20th century. After a beginning in fashion photography, she turned her focus on misfits and outcasts.
In over 30 years, this is the first time homage is being paid to her intense artistic career and to her tragic life (Arbus committed suicide in 1971) which, today, is even tempting Hollywood. This exhibition includes 200 of her photos (some of which have never before been publicly shown), her letters, proofs, notebooks and some of her cameras. E.S.
