As of January 1, 2002, the American Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev will be new head curator at the Castello di Rivoli. The former senior curator of the PS1 Contemporary Art Center of New York, who completed her studies in 1981 in Pisa, Italy, takes over from Giorgio Verzotti who is heading to MART (Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Trento and Rovereto) after completing two final projects for the Rivoli: the Shirin Neshat and Wolfgang Tillmans shows.
