The theme is urban housing; the
brief is to find innovative solutions
to place in densely built-up areas. In
London and Tokyo, two different but
equally brilliant architects – Stephen
Taylor and Ryue Nishizawa – address
this lack of space on a daily basis
together with problems of proximity
and the need for privacy, community
and public space. In the exhibition
“Some ideas on living in London and
Tokyo”, curated by Giovanna Borasi
at the Canadian Architecture Centre
in Montréal, these architects present
their solutions for contemporary metropolitan
living (until October 28). Elena Sommariva
