The Italian company Starpool materialises the idea of a home spa through its innovative products. The solutions for the private world signed by Starpool aim to promote psychophysical well-being as a daily practice and to improve people's quality of life. Shade Collection best represents this attitude, with a proposal conceived as a series of furnishing accessories. Shade Collection combines the quality of professional spas with an exclusive design to define a new wellness to be experienced in the most intimate and reserved place: the home. The distinctive element of each product is the transparent perimeter structure, interspersed with screen panels in wooden slats, recreating a feeling of great intimacy inside. The skilful combination of materials, colours and volumes and the discreet lighting give the collection a unique and original aesthetic. 

Here are some extracts from our conversation with Riccardo Turri, CEO of Starpool. We immerse ourselves in their vision of the bathroom and we go to discover the new Shade Collection.

"The comfortable and technological environments designed by Starpool introduce wellness and health into everyday life as a priority for a correct and healthy lifestyle. The Starpool method, rooted in the ancient formula heat, water, rest, becomes the spokesman for a cultural change. Today, in fact, the psychophysical care of our body is a step towards a new awareness, and we at Starpool, through our daily research, are ambassadors of this," Starpool CEO Riccardo Turri tells us. For the company, psychophysical wellbeing represents genuine training for a better life. "We offer our customers customised programmes designed to act in a targeted and effective manner on stress, sleep, performance performance and longevity Private wellness, corporate wellness, hospitality, professional sports and gyms, and beauty are the areas in which we work on an ongoing basis through continuous study validated by an in-house research and development team and the Scientific Research Department (SRD), which collaborates with authoritative research institutes, analyses and universities."

An interesting topic to discuss - and central to Starpool's work - is the integration of their products in domestic contexts. Turri tells us: "Creating a wellness area at home to devote quality time to regeneration and relaxation represents a major turning point in the culture of wellness. A private dimension where taking care of oneself is ideal for everyone, allowing the body to recover energy and the mind to regain calm and serenity at the end of the day, so as to re-establish the psycho-physical balance that has been put to the test by a frenetic life and increasingly unhealthy lifestyles."

It is thanks to the contemporary design of the facilities that Starpool is perfectly suited to home comfort. "Taste, colours and shapes frame design elements that are ready to become a habitual part of a ritual; that day after day helps the person to reap physical and mental benefits. From the raw materials of the landscape from which the company originates, we arrive at the actual furnishing concept, the technological result also being carefully integrated into the beauty of the structures."

Reducing economic and environmental impact is a priority for everyone, now more than ever. Starpool, too, does not shy away from this challenge. "In order to safeguard the nature around us, we source raw materials mainly from our local area and use recyclable materials and eco-friendly packaging. All this allows us to recover natural resources and reduce material waste. We are committed to secure savings through our wellness solutions. The 'green' technology, devised by our R&D department, comes to our aid because it allows us to concentrate all the functions needed to manage the spa in a smart environment. It is possible, in fact, to remotely regulate the temperatures of the various cabins, programme them to switch on and off, and thus save on energy loads."

There are several technological solutions designed for green products. Through the installation of Green Packs, energy consumption can be reduced through the action of intelligent detectors that prevent unnecessary steam escapes, control the heat and humidity of the environment, and maintain a constant temperature through energy load management. Starpool products are implemented by Eco Spa Technology management software installed to constantly measure essential equipment parameters in real time. The programme monitors and enables automated management of all installed technologies, remotely diagnoses and optimises the distribution of energy loads.

The Starpool CEO concludes by talking about the Shade collection, designed by expert designer Cristiano Mino: "It fits perfectly into any room of the house, interacting with the surrounding space in an alternation of glass walls and screen panels made of wood slats with a contemporary flavour, recreating a feeling of great intimacy inside, while remaining in visual communication with the outside. This collection includes Shade Sauna, Shade Steam Room and Shade Shower. The former is a combination of aesthetics and functionality, where the materials used are in continuity with all the products in the collection, to best complement each other. Shade Steam Room is a steam bath and is also proposed with monolithic volumes for the benches, made of a black metal structure and covered like the back wall in ceramic material in light or dark stone colours, for a unique and original aesthetic. Shade Shower encapsulates in its potential the regenerative power of water, fundamental after heat, in a design that is not only functional but also aesthetic continuity."
