Sliding doors to connect “flowing spaces”

Japo, a door collection designed by Massimo Luca for ADL, combines aesthetic quality, functionality and high technology.

Knowing how to combine technical-aesthetic quality and high technology is the result of the intelligent sensitivity of Massimo Luca, architect and founder, in 2004, of the ADL brand, through which he gives shape to his personal interpretation of interior design, creating products full of technology that represent an architectural function within the home.
ADL collections are not just simple furnishing objects, but openings of the future in contemporary living spaces. The openings do not divide rooms but they enter into synergy with them, creating what Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe called "flowing spaces". The new Japo collection recalls, in functionality and aesthetics, the traditional Shoji sliding doors that define the Japanese way of living. Doors that allow natural light to filter through and at the same time maintain excellent privacy, besides the possibility of connecting or separating spaces as required.

The range of openings designed by Massimo Luca is characterized by elegant intersections between vertical and horizontal profile, these one with reduced section, evoking the fascinating Japanese style. The door, in aluminum and frosted tempered glass, is designed in three different types of divisions that determine three different stylistic interpretations. The composition of the door recalls the oriental tradition while materials, technologies and finishes are the result of contemporary research: it is equipped with an advanced opening technology that allows the doors to overlap completely, thus increasing the opening capacity for maximum formal cleanliness. Like all ADL sliding solution, also Japo collection can count on a telescopic track for perfect levelling of the rail, guaranteeing always a smooth sliding movement.
