HP is contributing to the fight against the spread of Coronavirus with a new website that collect 3D printable designs of critical components for the health sector. Medical professionals and institutions can connect to a global network of HP 3D printing partners, that will help the print and deliver the medical devices they need.
The goal of the project is to expedite the access to parts such a face shields, masks, wrist covers, CPAP devices, field respirators ad many others.
It’s not just medical devices. The collection includes also a 3D-printable hands-free door opener that can be screwed to door handles, or a personal door opener, which looks like a futuristic plastic crowbar. By limiting the touching of exposed surfaces and making it easier to operate doors without using your hands, they can also help limit the spread of the virus.
