A major itinerant exhibition dedicated
to the French maestro and produced by
the Vitra Design Museum starts off in
the UK, at the Design Museum in
London, where it will be showing until
March 25, 2008. Richard Rogers has
spoken enthusiastically about the event
dedicated to Prouvé and regards him,
as do many others, as a pioneer of High
Tech architecture, for his skill in
connecting construction processes and
design language. It is also a well-known
fact that Jean Prouvé was president of
the competition jury for the building of
the Pompidou Centre, and responsible
for the victory of the revolutionary
design by Piano and Rogers. S. M.
