It is called Art Twenty One – located inside the Eko Hotel & Suites, in a space of 600 square meters – and its aim is to promote the artistic scene of Lagos, bringing it to the attention of the international audience. “I wanted to take things one step further in my quest to keep giving artists a platform, while celebrating the city I call home, Lagos”, affirms Caline Chagoury, who developed this creative platform in 2019. The first exhibition, entitled “Floor One 9”, brings together 19 artists, designers and craftsmen, through painting, photography, lighting and furnishing. The mission is to underline the cultural stratification and the interdisciplinary approach, presenting a multifaceted Africa, rich of ideas and experimentation. At the end of the show, set for March 27, it will leave for an international tour.
