Onochord is the new installation by Yoko Ono and is located in the Lofoten archipelago in Norway. It is a message of love sent through a beam of light, which transmits “I love you” to everyone, in the world and in the universe. The message is sent through a language coded by the artist, which consists of a series of flashes of lights, similar to the Morse code. I (a blink) Love (two blinks of light) you (three blinks). This is the first time that an Onochord message is sent from a lighthouse, and will last from 20 January to 28 February, located North of the article circle, broadcasting 24 hours a day. The message is not just to be meant between persons, but also turned to the planet by human beings. This is what the artist says: “There is so much fear, confusion and anger in the world and it’s nice to have a moment when we think of love, instead of anything else”. Onochord is produced by Henningswaer's lighthouse from Faurschou Art Resource with Kaviar Factory.
