From Cezanne to Warhol, modern art comes to the Scuderie at the Quirinale. An exhibition organised by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation of 82 masterpieces collected over the years by Solomon and Peggy Guggenheim, uncle and niece with contrasting tastes that today complement one another through a shared passion for art.
The exhibition also provides a unique occasion to see together work by Manet, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Picasso, Mirò, Kandinsky, Mondrian, Leger, Ernst, Rothko, Klee and Pollock. The sheer number of visitors – with already 40,000 bookings – bring to mind the notion of the “art show”, suggested by art critic Germano Celant.
