A kind of biography in which both work and personality are woven closely together, this retrospective anthology dedicated to the French artist Yves Klein, the largest ever organised in Italy, brings us to experience one of the most spiritual artists of the twentieth century. With 120 paintings and sculptures on show, from the first Monochromes, the Monochromes Bleu and the Riliefs Éponges, thanks to which he became famous, passing on to the experimentation of the Peintures Feu, the Antropométries and the Cosmogonies and finally the Monogold, mystical gold paintings, divine symbols, we can follow Klein’s path in his continual drive towards the absolute. A rich documentary display composed of photographs, drawings, projects, video, publications and autographed writings completes the picture of an eclectic artist, who was also chiefly a thinker, whose geniality has lead art and architecture in an evolution towards the immaterial.
