Best of #May

Among the projects published by Domus Web in May there are buildings designed by big architects but also low-cost interventions, young photographers’ projects and prototypes in search of funds on Kickstarter.

In May Domus Web has released the latest important projects of the big names in architecture, among which we point the Jockey Club Innovation Tower by Zaha Hadid and the 9/11 Memorial, with the museum designed by Davis Bordy Bond and the entry pavilion by Snøhetta; but also low-cost buildings, such as the student residence Mill Junction in Johannersburg, and more discrete interventions like the Steiner school designed in Lausanne by Localarchitect.

A lot of space has been given to the emerging protagonists in the world of design – the experimental design workshop in Budapest Dombon-a-tanya, Studio Banana Thing whit its Kangaroo Light on Kickstarter and the exhibition Norwegian by Nature devoted to young Norwegian designers – and the one of photography with Lino Russo's series Skymetric.

Among contemporary art exhibitions we selected the installations by Cildo Meireles in Milan visited by Gabi Scardi and Vivid Memoires at the Fondation Cartier in Paris, reviewed by Ivo Bonacorsi.
