The 2017 guide confirms the significant quantitative and qualitative role played by Italian universities with architecture schools such as the Universities of Ferrara and Florence flanked by IUAV in Venice, Turin Polytechnic, Milan Polytechnic, the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II and the Università degli Studi Roma Tre. The design section lists five schools in Milan among the top 50: Domus Academy, IED, Istituto Marangoni, SPD and Milan Polytechnic – plus, once again, the Libera Università di Bolzano, the Università La Sapienza in Rome as well as Turin Polytechnic and IUAV in Venice, joined by ISIA in Urbino.
