Among the 2016 novelties presented by Bisazza at Cersaie 2016, there are blends and mosaic patterns by Studio Job and Marcel Wanders two new lines designed by Tom Dixon and India Mahdavi enriching the Cementiles collection.

Marcel Wanders designed the Tulips Grey pattern, a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Dutch flower.

Upon a grey background, a white, digitally-created ornament, impetuously dominate giant tulips produced with hand-cut glass enamels, crafted with the traditional artistic technique.

The new Perished mosaic pattern by Studio Job features a neo-Gothic style. A graphic pattern with real or imaginary animal skeletons caught in a fanciful dance of death. The digitally-created design comes in a black and white version – Perished White, and in Perished Rose Gold, created using rose gold mosaic tiles, introduced for the very first time in a pattern.

Contemporary design, in the pop graphic style, for the new line from Tom Dixon for the Cementiles collection. Available in two sizes – 20x20 cm square, or 20x23 cm hexagonal – each tile is entirely hand-made. These decorative items are an artistic re-interpretation of some architectural icons in Britain’s capital.

“London – our home city – provides all the inspiration we need for this new collection of surfaces; the building blocks and the textures of this thousand-year-old city are imprinted in this designer’s mind. Bricks of red clay, cracked pavements and pebble dash walls, the signatures of a crumbling capital in constant re-invention are reworked in a graphic, pop art style to suit the simplicity demanded by the century-old tile manufacturing process.” Tom Dixon explains.

The collection by India Mahdavi for the Cementiles line reflects the creative, eclectic, playful and subtly satirical universe of the French designer. Optical graphic motifs, with sleek lines and singular, bold color combinations give rise to decorations of pop and seventies inspiration. Tiles with stripes, polka dots, bubbles, squares and multi-color patterns in undulating shapes create a dynamic effect through endless repetition.

Available in two formats – 20x20cm square or 20x23cm hexagonal – each cement tile is made entirely by hand and painstakingly crafted through a process that lends charm and character to this collection.
