Thomas Heatherwick UK Pavilion for Shanghai World Expo 2010

As the World Expo 2010 prepares to open tomorrow, a prime contender for public attention is Thomas Heatherwick's British Pavilion, one of the most iconic works of the Shanghai edition. Iwan Baan photographed the first visitors to the site, who yesterday witnessed the 60,000 policarbonate rods, each with a seed embedded in it, swaying gently in the wind.
