Despite its visual lightness, Strain – designed by Simon Morasi Piperčić – provides comfort expected from large dimension sofas thanks to the seat with elastic bands support, stretched backrest shell and free lumbar cushion which further eases various sitting possibilities.

The identity of the armchair came from the sculptural incarnation of constructive elements, material features and assembling principle – the seat cushion and the backrest shell tailored from a two-dimensional plate are put on a complex metal structure, and the form is obtained by stretching from the top of the structure to the bottom of the seat. Material tension of the backrest also provides comfort during its use.

The armchair is subject to various combinations of materials, from harder non-woven fabrics and leather to transparent mesh fabrics, and easily adapts to any set interior or exterior of residential, commercial or tourist facilities.
