At Design Miami/ Basel 2013, the Swiss cultural and entrepreneurial project for charity Verbier Mountain Climbers held a travelling exhibition of old gondolas transformed by Swiss designers. The project consisted in collecting dismantled old ski gondolas from Verbier, and having them revisited by some of the most acknowledged designers and artists of the country, such as Atelier Oï, Anoush Abrar, Adrien Rovero and Philippe Cramer.

After the exhibition at the Design Miami/ Basel fair the work will be exhibited during the summer at Verbier and then in Genève’s airport. At the end of this exhibition, Christie’s will auction the gondola on behalf of Verbier Mountain Climbers.
