Domus Israel 29, December 2013
In the beginning of the 20th century Adolph Loos declared Ornament a crime, and so ornament was shunned by designers and architects for a good many years, until recently, when  Ornament in design and architecture have been pardoned, and are returning.

This issue includes a few articles about different Shopping Centres and Malls. One is a Mirage like Shopping Centre by Sou Fujimoto named Souk Mirage, others are the ornamental Hanjie Wanda Square Luxury Mall in Wuhan, China, and a new department store in Leicester, England, completely surrounded by an oriental looking design. Another article features the Chang-Du Museum of Wisdom in China.

Ornament and decorative design continue in Pinar and Viola's works in digital collages and in an article about body tattoos and in the interior design of the Tel Aviv Mendelie Street Hotel by BK Architects.

Other projects included in this issue are David Hotson's Skyhouse penthouse in Manhattan and Casa V, a holiday house in Spain.

We included an article about the exhibitions "Motion Matters" by UNStudio at the MAXXI Museum in Rome and "Falling back to Earth" by Cai Guo Qiang in Brisbane Australia.
