Amelie is the collection designed for Midj by designer Roberto Paoli: a chair with retro charm that gives the illusion of suspension in space. The elongated shape of its backrest and the length of the seat create a feeling of openness and expansion that is accentuated by the slender frame. The balance between past and present, between retro and contemporary elements, offers an innovative interpretation of the classic, in which style blends harmoniously with comfort. In the Amelie collection, design is transformed into an experience of refined elegance.

In the armchairs, chairs and stools, the lively irony of the Amelie collection manifests itself in creations that appear light and surprising thanks to the fusion of its playful shapes and impeccable ergonomics. For a unique and unmistakable style, the backrest details can be customized with a wide range of colors, creating different combinations.

Roberto Paoli worked closely with Officina delle Idee, MIDJ's in-house research and development department, and tells the idea behind Amelie this way: "Ironizing with shapes creates a novel design that revisits the retro tradition of French armchairs, resulting in a collection with a light and comfortable bearing. Each element has been reworked to ensure harmony and elegance: the seat and back fit perfectly with the frame, combining solidity and comfort."
