Nexion - a company that designs and develops sintered stone slabs of the highest level - has created an innovative collection, with unique and unprecedented effects, designed to enhance the expressive characteristics of cement, appreciated for its material consistency. The surfaces have been enriched with handcrafted decorative inserts capable of conferring an unprecedented depth and materiality, combining a mix of geometric patterns with irregularities typical of craftsmanship. The result is surfaces that stand out for their personality and disruptive expressiveness.

The result is a disruptive collection that goes beyond the mere imitation of concrete, offering designers an unprecedented creative tool. It is an innovative product that seems to capture and restore the industrial essence of cement with vibrant tactile and visual sensations with a strong geometric yet artisanal flavour.

The decorative elements were created considering the fundamental element of architecture as the line interpreted horizontally and vertically. The structures are the result of craftsmanship obtained through the use of spatulas and rulers that cut into the cement, thus obtaining the three material surfaces: Striato, Rigato and Quadri, the latter inspired by the tables of craftsmen specialised in cutting materials.

The palette has been reworked thanks to a careful study of colours which, starting from the traditional shades of grey and beige, has allowed the intrinsic hardness of cement to be melted, making it softer and more delicate, thus giving it a new material look. Five colours - bianco, avorio, grigio chiaro, grigio scuro, nero - allow endless creative possibilities to be explored, adapting Riga to a variety of contexts and styles.
