Nemo presents a new exhibition concept in the Monforte Showroom with a design by Studio dell'Uva Architetti and features projects by Lina Bo Bardi and Álvaro Siza.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024 (16-21 April), Nemo presents the new layout of its Monforte Showroom, with a project by Giuliano Andrea dell'Uva of Studio dell'Uva Architetti. It also enriches its catalogue with historical icons – designed by Lina Bo Bardi and Álvaro Siza – alongside innovative and contemporary projects, such as the Sorrento collection by Valerio Sommella.

The exhibition design conceived by Studio dell'Uva Architetti is divided into three distinct spaces: two are a tribute to famous architects, while the third reflects the approach and vision of Studio dell'Uva Architetti.

Each space is unique, and is a tangible expression of the stylistic language and materials favoured by the respective architects: Formica as a versatile and refined chromatic element for Lina Bo Bardi, and hand-painted tiles by Francesco De Maio that recall the Mediterranean atmosphere so dear to Studio dell'Uva.

The route along these three rooms is an evocative journey through the epochs of architecture and design: a narrative that also reveals the profound sensitivity of the company, which has always been characterised by a strong search for balance between tradition and innovation.

The star of the display will be the LBB01 lamp, designed in 1950 by Lina Bo Bardi for one of her most famous projects: the Casa de Vidro. Now an icon of lighting, the lamp features an essential, geometric design in which lines and volumes touch and intersect, in total continuity with the design style of the house in São Paulo. The telescopic stem and 360° adjustable diffusers in black painted aluminium allow direct and indirect lighting, while the interior finish is matt white.

Among the other products on display in Nemo's Monforte Showroom will be Álvaro Siza's Lorosae Table, a table lamp in translucent glass with a pure and shiny finish, presented by the company in a new battery-operated version; designed by Valerio Sommella, Sorrento is a portable and rechargeable table lamp: an object that goes beyond the limits of perception, transporting the archetype of the candelabra into the present.
