The ring of remembrance

On November 12 the international Memorial at  Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, near Arras, has been inaugurated. Designed by Philippe Prost, it is a large ring on which 580,000 names of soldiers who died in the French Flanders and in the Artois region are engraved.
