Fabio Novembre: 36h and 56h

The designer's latest creations for Driade will be presented at Salone del Mobile 2012 A news report from Milan

During the Salone del Mobile 2012, Italian furniture company Driade will present the 36 h easy chair and the 56 h rocking chair. Both were designed by Fabio Novembre, and named after the number of hours needed to produce each type of chair.

The 36 h easy chair is intended to dress terraces and gardens. The 56 h rocking chair displays a sweeping, innovative shape, which according to Driade "provides a totally new dream to daily life".

Novembre mentions how he attempted a "domestication of surfaces" with these chairs, and points out the names of both chairs "refer to the temporal element that each of them requires, as a pledge in the hands of skilled craftsmen, in honor of their work and of the value that they'll assume for those who will own them."
