A mix of colours and materials in Clemence Seilles’ collection

Mexican studio Stromboli Associates presents Crews, a set of chairs created by the French designer made of wood, volcanic stone and steel tubes.

The design studio Stromboli Associates, based in Mexico City, presented a new summer collection of chairs designed by Clemence Seilles. The French artist and designer, founder of the studio, created Crews, a series of chairs with Memphis references that combines unusual materials and patterns from the ’80.

The sets of the collection propose chairs that play with contrasts of materials and colours, merging natural and painted wood, volcanic stone and white steel tubes. Centro Crew or Mexico Crew’s circular seat divided in two parts is a feature of these products. A yellow tube and purple cooton padding give pop feelings in the Miami collection and shades from purple to white can be seen in Ultravioleta. Caoba wood is then combined with painted steel and printed fabric in Manhattan Crew.
