The issue of Domus – titled Fabbrica Italia – is truly special. Not only because it continues the journey begun last year in discovery of Italy and its outstanding features, but also because it has not been edited by Michele De Lucchi. In fact, this issue’s guest editor is Fulvio Irace, an architecture historian and professor at Milan Polytechnic.

The Arcipelago Italia annex is a collaboration between the Venice Biennale and Domus. Among a string of other initiatives celebrating its 90th anniversary, the magazine wished to experiment with an innovative format by accepting an invitation from this year’s curator of the Italian Pavilion, Mario Cucinella. The Ceramic architecture supplement presents the latest innovations of Cotto d’Este. The company manufactures special, aesthetic products with an artisanal feel in large formats, from extra thick to ultra thin.
